Food is served at the following times

Friday : Noon – 3pm & 6pm – 9pm

Saturday  : Noon –9pm

Sunday : Noon –6pm

 

 

Mike and Carol are committed to providing great quality food and reasonable prices.

What you won’t find is frozen ‘microwave’ meals. Instead we take great care to create fantastic pub classic dishes all created with locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Our lamb is British and sourced from the farm next door to our pub, our beef is the world famous Wagyu Beef, sourced from Bailey’s Farm in Rushton Spencer. The rest of our meat comes from Egerton Brooks Butchers in Congleton. Vegetables and Herbs are supplied by MacDonalds Greengrocers  in Knutsford and dairy products from Cloudview Dairies.

Our famous chips are made from local potatoes and NOT from frozen (likewise our crunchy roast potatoes)

We make fresh soups every week and our Chicken Liver Pate is made in our kitchens using just two ingredients – Chicken Livers and Butter!

Our menu changes daily – All food is freshly prepared to order and not cooked from frozen – so please inform a member of staff if you are in a hurry to eat as there is usually a 15-30 minute wait from ordering to serving

Our menu changes daily to reflect what is fresh in the markets. If there is anything you would particularly like that is not on the menu, or you have a special dietary requirement please let us know when you book. Everything is freshly cooked so we can be flexible. If we have the ingredients we will make it for you!

A traditional Sunday roast of local British Beef served with Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes and vegetables

Hungrymans’ Gammon, Egg and Chips (df) (gf)- £13.95 (half portion – £7.95)

A huge (20oz) Gammon Steak served with a Fried Egg, Garden Peas and Fries or Chips

Beef and Guinness Pudding – £9.95

A suet pudding stuffed with Beef & beer gravy, served with chips or creamed potatoes & vegetables
